This blog begins as part of the Ocean County Library Web Challenge. I am happy to be able to say that I'm the Chair of the Web Challenge Committee. I've been on many committees and chaired several but the members of this committee have more energy, creative ideas and capacity for fun that any other committee I've ever been on. I'm having a great time.
Week #5 - Library Week (Things #10, #11, #12) and Week #7 - Wikis (Things #16, #17) are the weeks I'm editing and tracking with help from other committee members. I really like LibraryThing and I'm looking forward to introducing it to more staff.
The only complaint I have about being on this committee is that I can't win the Nintendo Wii!

p.s. There are not many committees that debate whether there is too much shark puppet in a presention. To understand what that means, attend one of the Spring Admin Forums!
Jot has two meanings. Noun: The smallest bit; iota. Verb: To write down briefly or hastily as in "jot down an address." So this blog is of little things often written hastily. The topics will be about information, searching for information, odd bits of information, and at least at the beginning, the OCL Web Challenge.
